Get to Know Us
Founded in 2023, The Community Fellowship is a church plant that came about through the passing away of a historic congregation. Jamestown UMC was a stalwart of the Jamestown community for over 150 years. After many tragedies and hard conversations, the small congregation made the difficult decision to step out in faith, shut down what they had been doing, and look to start something new.
God graciously provided a building for the congregation to purchase and begin worshiping in November 2023. From our very first Sunday, our God-given vision for The Community Fellowship has been to create an intentionally intergenerational community of believers who will be a blessing to the immediate and extended community around us.

Story
What We Believe
The Community Fellowship is a theologically Wesleyan congregation that adheres to the doctrines and discipline of the Global Methodist Church.
Our most central and important theological declaration is that Jesus Christ is Lord. Everything else that we preach and believe stems from that confession.
We also confess the historic Christian Creeds, and see those as the explanation of what it means for us to declare Jesus as Lord of our lives.
Our denomination
The Global Methodist Church is a worldwide denomination made up of thousands of churches in hundreds of countries, rooted in the historic Christian faith and the Wesleyan tradition. The church upholds the authority of Scripture, the lordship of Jesus Christ, and the transforming power of the Holy Spirit. In doctrine and practice, the Global Methodist Church emphasizes personal and social holiness, connectional accountability, and a mission-driven focus on evangelism, discipleship, and service both locally and globally.

The Community Fellowship is a proud member of and church plant in the Multiply Indiana network.
Multiply Indiana has a vision of reaching all parts of Indiana with the transforming power of the Gospel by planting 100 churches in a decade, and making 1,000,000 disciples in a generation.
Core Values
Worship
We believe worship is our first and highest calling — to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. Worship isn’t confined to Sunday; it’s a way of life that centers our hearts on God’s glory and shapes us to reflect His character in all we do.
Community
We were never meant to follow Jesus alone. We grow best in authentic, grace-filled relationships where we share life together, encourage one another in faith, and bear one another’s burdens as the family of God.

Mission
The Church doesn’t exist for itself — we exist for the world God loves. We join God’s mission by serving others, proclaiming the good news of Jesus, and living as His hands and feet in our neighborhoods and beyond.

Surrender
Following Jesus means laying down our own plans, preferences, and control to trust God’s will above our own. We seek to live with open hands and obedient hearts, confident that true life is found in yielding everything to Him.​
Intergenerational Ministry
Every generation has a vital part to play in the story God is writing. We believe discipleship happens best when ages and experiences overlap — where wisdom is shared, faith is modeled, and everyone from the youngest to the oldest learns from one another.

Multiplication
The gospel compels us to reproduce — not just to grow bigger, but to raise up new disciples, leaders, and ministries. We measure success not by seating capacity but by sending capacity, as we equip others to go and make disciples of all nations.
